My Story
California Credentialed Math Teacher
Students who fundamentally understand number relationships, logical thinking, and mathematical functions, inspire me. After graduating Summa Cum Laude in Mathematics, I taught Basic Math, Business Math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry and Math Analysis in public and private high school classrooms.
I coached successful math teams while home schooling my family for 20 years. My tutoring services moved online from my kitchen table in 2014.
Each student learns number sense through his or her unique mental process. Upon a solid numerical understanding, the student learns to explain his or her logical thinking. We build advanced mathematical ideas, one building block of logical numerical reasoning at a time. Students develop an ability to not only to create and solve mathematical curiosities; they develop an ability to teach others how to think logically about numbers, patterns, shapes, angles, fractions, and to apply mathematical relationships to the physical world.
What does Math with Mrs. Mowery entail?
Students learn to enjoy the wonderful world of mathematics, exploring the interconnected disciplines from number sense, through equations, inequalities, geometry, fractions, decimals, functions, graphs, and so much more.
Students from Charter Schools, Private Schools, Public Schools or Independent Home Schools may utilize my online or in person math tutoring services.
Over Zoom or FaceTime with one student per lesson,
